Terms and Conditions

  1. Eligibility

    To take lessons, you must hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence and meet the minimum eyesight requirements. If you're unsure about either, please check before booking – I’m happy to help.

  2. Payment and Lesson Packages

    Lesson payments must be made in advance, either individually or in discounted block bookings. Block bookings must be used within 6 months of purchase unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Prices are based on proper full-hour lessons (not the 50-minute kind some schools use), with a minimum booking of 90 minutes.

  3. Cancellations and Lateness

    If you need to cancel a lesson, please give at least 48 hours' notice – otherwise, the full lesson fee may be charged. If you're running late, let me know as soon as you can. I’ll do my best to give you the full lesson time, but this may not be possible if I have other lessons booked straight after.

  4. Test Day – Using My Car

    If you're using my car for your driving test, you'll need to book a 2-hour test slot to cover pre-test practice, the test itself, and travel time. If the car becomes unavailable on the day (for example, due to a breakdown), I’ll do everything I can to offer a backup solution. This might include rearranging the test or providing a different vehicle if one is available.

    Please note though that I can’t cover DVSA fees or other costs beyond the lesson or hire fee itself.

  5. Responsibility and Conduct

    During lessons, you’ll be expected to behave responsibly and follow instructions for everyone’s safety. If I believe you're not in a fit state to drive safely (for example, due to alcohol, drugs, or medical reasons), the lesson will be stopped and no refund given.

    Likewise, I’ll always behave professionally and respectfully. If you ever have concerns, just let me know – I want you to feel safe and supported throughout.

  6. Refunds

    Refunds for unused lessons in block bookings will be calculated based on the lessons already taken at the standard rate (not the discounted one). This means the refund may be lower than you expect. Refunds are not available for lessons missed due to late cancellations or no-shows.
